Terms of Use

These Terms apply to structg.com and its calculators, diagrams, results, reports and other content (the “Tools”). “StructG,” “we” and “us” refer to the StructG website and its operator. By using the Tools, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, please do not use them.

1. Educational use only

The Tools are provided for educational and learning purposes only. They are not intended for professional engineering design, construction documents, permitting or decisions concerning the safety of a real structure.

Using the Tools does not establish an engineer–client relationship. Results and reports are not sealed, stamped or authenticated professional engineering documents and must not be presented as such.

2. Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking your inputs, units, assumptions and interpretation of results. Each Tool has stated assumptions and limitations. Inputs outside those assumptions may produce invalid results.

Results may contain errors or numerical approximations. Independently check results used for learning or comparison. Actual engineering applications require appropriate professional assessment and compliance with applicable requirements.

3. Validation reports

Validation reports cover only the cases, assumptions and software versions they identify. They do not guarantee that a Tool is error-free or accurate for every input or subsequent version.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties

You use the Tools at your own risk. The Tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. StructG does not guarantee that the Tools will be uninterrupted or error-free.

5. Limitation of liability

StructG and its operator disclaim liability for losses or damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the Tools, including calculation errors, lost data, lost profits, property damage and design or construction costs.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Tools unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security measures or disrupt the service. Automated or excessive requests that place an unreasonable load on the service are prohibited.

7. Intellectual property

Original software, branding, text and graphics belong to their respective rights holders. Standard engineering formulas and third-party materials remain subject to their applicable rights and licences.

You may use and share calculator outputs for educational purposes, retaining their disclaimers and attribution to StructG. You may not copy, sell or redistribute original website content or software without permission, except as permitted by law.

8. Data and privacy

Calculation inputs are sent to our calculation service to produce results. Do not submit confidential, sensitive or identifying project information.

StructG does not store your calculation inputs or results after returning them to you. We use a privacy-focused analytics service, which does not use cookies or track you across websites, to count page visits and understand how the site is used. Our hosting providers may keep routine technical logs, such as request times and IP addresses, under their own policies.

9. Availability and changes

The current Tools are free. We may update, suspend or discontinue them. Prices and additional terms for any future paid features will be disclosed before purchase.

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively. Continued use after that date indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
